From the EastBrethren, our November 12th Stated Meeting is the Annual Election of Officers. Following Dinner, Brother Marvin J. Johnson will receive his Golden Veterans Award 50 Year Pin. Congratulations also to Brothers William Ash and Duncan Waldrop on receiving the 1st. Degree of Masonry. Mr.Walter Hastings has been elected to receive the degrees of Masonry in our Lodge. Brother Maxford Harry was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. Thank you Chad and Jennifer Riffe for your efforts on the Fall Festival. Magnificent planning and promotion! Its great to see the lodge active and thriving. I think everyone has been doing a great job in welcoming newcomers to our lodge. The Stated Meeting Dinner and Lodge Breakfast are great tools for getting to know potential members and expanding our own friendships. Lets keep this up and continue to have fun doing it. This years Annual Communication (Grand Lodge) was a great success! We had plenty of brothers and their families from all over the state and world attend. We had several recommendations and resolutions that were hot topics this year. You can log on to the Grand Lodge’s website to see the results at www.freemason.org or give one of your officers a call and we can fill you in. November brings us a time of thanks. I would like to thank my lodge brothers, ladies and families for all the support you give us. I want to extend my best wishes to everyone and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Jim Poindexter has done an admirable job in keeping our Masonic Center in great shape. We need to ensure that it stays that way when he leaves his building maintenance manager position this coming January. Your food and frozen turkey donations are desperately needed to help feed those in our Citrus Heights neighborhood. All donations stay within our area and are so badly needed. Please help the Lodge with your donation. We will take food, checks, cash or whatever works for you. You can call me or our Master or Senior Warden.
