NOTICE OF POSSIBLE CHANGE OF BYLAWS

Brethren, our Lodge Leadership Committee reported at our February Stated Meeting that dues and fees increases are now needed. A resolution to increase dues for all members and application fees for new members was introduced for discussion and voting at the March Stated Meeting. In order to give the brethren sufficient notice…

THE BRETHREN OF HARDING SAN JUAN LODGE ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED: THE DISCUSSION AND VOTING UPON A CHANGE IN OUR BYLAWS WILL BE CONDUCTED DURING THE MARCH STATED MEETING.

From the East

Spring is upon us once again. It's time for St. Patrick's day and of course Spring cleaning. Remember to look in your food pantry and ask your family, friends and neighbors to do the same, and donate your canned goods or dry goods to the local food bank by bringing them into the lodge.

I would like to thank everyone for the outstanding attendance we've had at the Lodge, particularly for the stated meeting dinners. I feel the dinners are a great success and everyone seems to enjoy themselves.

We are looking forward to a very busy month here at the lodge. With three new applicants and if elected, we will have four candidates for March! We should look forward to a lot of raising in the near future. Ladies please join us after the March stated meeting dinner and program for some fun games.

One of the main goals of Freemasonry is to create “a sacred band or society of friends and brothers”. I think we are doing ourselves proud in meeting that objective. Freemasonry is so much more than just ritual. It is about creating a selfless individual who strives to ask himself, What can I do to help? How can I make this better for others? How can I serve?

It is important to attend the March Stated Meeting so that your voice can be heard. Please listen to all discussions and weigh all sides to make the best decision for the lodge.

That’s it for now! So until next time I want to wish you all the best and if you need anything, want to get involved, or just want to enjoy some fellowship please feel free to contact me anytime. The best way to reach me is by phone or text.

Fraternally, Paul Cary, Master

From the West

Brethren it was so good to see so many at our last Stated Meeting. Food, Fun and Fellowship, that’s what Masons are all about. Our Candidates are continuing their progress thru their proficiencies. Please join us for the upcoming degrees. Dates and times are found in this Trestleboard.

See you in Lodge.

Fraternally, John Scofield, P.M., Sr. Warden

Hall Board

Greetings from your hall board

The hall board is still looking for a church to rent our
facility. If you have a potential church please call Bob
Jackson, at 916-988-5979

By the time you read this, the lodge’s patio cover should be installed. Worshipful Jim Poindexter continues to do a great job managing the maintenance of our facility.

Please check out the lodge’s new website calendar, it has the entire list of activities for the building listed
with any details you may need: www.HardingSanJuan.com

Fraternally, Tom Tompkins, P.M., President

Brethren, Ladies, Family and Friends:

Thank you all for such an amazing turnout at the February stated meeting dinner…67 served! Rich Gardener of Granite Rock Grill continues to do an amazing job on the catering! Thank you to Pat Gore for providing the scrumptious dessert and to the Job’s Daughters and Carol Burns for serving and Worshipful Tom Tompkins for helping them with cleaning up after our meal.

Remember, Reservations ARE Required! Please see below for your registering options…last month was almost a full house and we were very close to turning folks away!

Please see “What’s for Dinner?” below for the menu & the contact information to get your reservations in. I look forward to seeing you at dinner and in Lodge this month!

The Sweetheart Luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 21st. Social hour begins at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. A few of the Masons & their wives will be serving and our menu will be a nice salad to start followed with a scrumptious quiche, tasty sandwich, seasonal fruit and a delicious dessert. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served during social hour and Dick MacFarlane will be providing our musical entertainment for the luncheon. Our Harding San Juan Belles will be our guests and for all others the admission is $15 at the door. Reservations are required so please call Jen Riffe to RSVP and also let her know if you can assist in escorting one of our Belles. Jen will have a list of those Belles who wish to attend and need transportation.
