Ladies ProgramThere will be no ladies program for the month of April 2014 Hall BoardThe Hall Board Directors held their regular business meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday March 13, 2014. The Capital Improvement Committee Chairman Bob Jackson presented a report of Short and Long term recommendations. The report was very well thought out and sets some ambitious and thoughtful goals. Of the short term recommendations to be completed in 2014, the Board authorized Management to proceed with costs to improve the south side parking lot lighting and replace the decaying double doors on the east side of the building. They also approved the demolition of the existing patio cover for safety reasons as it is starting to fall apart from decay. The replacement as to what form will be discussed and considered at a later date. I have not had any response to my request for members interested on being a part of the Hall Board. Our present secretary will be leaving the Board in December and we need a member with the ability to take over maintaining the books, paying the bills, collecting the rent, making required written reports to the Lodge, complete and submit Federal and State Information Returns in order to keep our tax exempt status and other miscellaneous duties including taking meeting minutes. Our Board elections are at the November Stated Meeting so time is of the essence. Fraternally, Don Bagley, P.M., President |
