From the East

July may be the month that we reopen. If so, we have our lodge picnic on Saturday July 11th. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers with all the fixings. Plenty of salads and desserts. If the weather is not too hot, we may have a “corn hole” tournament.
While we are still sheltering at home, several of our brothers have been busy studying their ritual. Brother Mike Allen has been working hard and is now ready to give his 1st degree proficiency, and our Junior Deacon, Colter Hostek, has been working on his Staircase lecture and has it down word perfect. If only his coach could remember the correct floor work. (me)
When we are finally allowed to return, I am sure our distinguished officer’s coach, Worshipful Gary Macauley, will have our officers working in their advanced stations. So, officers, you have been forewarned.
Please stay well and safe.

Tom Tompkins, Master

Hello Brothers and Sisters!
It looks like we are getting close to coming back to our new normal. Many of the establishments including malls, churches, and other businesses started opening and getting ready for the new normal. Because its summer time people are eager to go out and socialized, some are cautious some are not. We have to be careful attending gatherings, please continue to use mask, frequent hand washing, use of sanitizer and be mindful of your distance to others. Since most of our brothers and sisters are at that vulnerable age, I encourage others to please be mindful of them. There are people that don’t show any symptoms of COVID-19 even when they were infected, just be mindful that there are others who are vulnerable to the virus and can be greatly affected and can lose their lives.
Please join the effort with our brothers and sisters to come up with suggestions for the good of our lodge. If we have other ways to continue services to each other, we will do so. Please reach out for anyone we can help, especially for our brothers and sisters that are alone and need support. My family and I are grateful for all the blessings of health and wish the same way for everybody. God bless everyone!

Our lives at this time are full of uncertainties, COVID-19 has circumvented the world with no known cure or vac-cine at this time. We must be cautious and protect our health at all costs. The lodge is on track to open in the future but with a new normal in place once our Grand Master gives us the word. Turmoil and fear due to the unknown is all around us. Schools are set to re-open and businesses are starting to open also. Our law enforcement officers have been challenged and history is being rewritten. Hate has no place in our society and brotherly love will prevail. Hang in there my brethren and we will see you in the lodge shortly. Thank you and please be safe until we meet again.
