Julius C. Cadorna, Master

I would like to thank everyone for giving me this opportunity and entrusting me to serve as your Master for the ensuing Masonic year. I would like to thank Worshipful Tompkins for his dedication and service during this hard time and also for guiding me to become the Master. I am sorry Worshipful Tompkins that your year didn’t go as you have planned it, hopefully we can continue your plan during my year of service. This is truly a wonderful opportunity for me to be with you all and be part of this lodge. It has been a wonderful 6 years of service in this lodge and to be able to meet other leaders and members and learn from them. Masonry is one of the few places that you meet people from all walks of life. I wish to serve the lodge well with my time and dedication and with the help of all the members. I would like to thank Worshipful Gary Macauley, Worshipful Bill Boxell and Worshipful Dave Allmuth for putting up this wonderful installation. Your dedication and love for the craft is something everybody should imitate. I would also like to thank all the officers in my line, your support and dedication made it possible for me to be in this position.
I am hoping for a better year for everyone, we are all in this together and let’s finish strong this year. I am hoping to continue all the programs that we have been doing for years for our community. As soon as we get an ok to go and meet again we will start going back to normal and go do things that we were doing before this pandemic. Please stay safe and be healthy. God bless everyone.
Fraternally,
Julius Cadorna

DESIDERATA
Go Placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery, but let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with GOD, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle received his 1st degree. The Grand Lodge of Indiana was established in 1818. The Grand Lodge of Utah was established in 1872. The Grand Lodge of Nevada was established in 1865. The Grand Lodge of Montana was established in 1866. The Grand Lodge of Ohio was established in 1808.

We hope your Christmas and your New Year was a safe and joyous one.
Things are quiet around the lodge, being that we are still shut down and meetings are prohibited by our Grand Master. However, a few maintenance items have been going on behind the scenes.
Worshipful John Scofield installed a new kitchen sink faucet. Hopefully, this new one will last a long time with no leaks. Thank You Worshipful John. Also, your Hallboard has approved funds necessary for installing a new alarm system in our building. Once this new alarm system is in place you will be notified. Those individuals who need access to the building will be given their own code for entering and exiting.
The yard maintenance folks are continuing to cut the grass, pick up the leaves and keep the bushes trimmed. Our facility looks great even though it is not being used. Please be patient, hopefully this lock down will ease up before too long.
A special thank you to all the Hallboard members who continue to stay involved with our Hallboard meetings via Zoom.
Fraternally,
Tom Tompkins, PM
